Global News Items

This section is where you will post and discuss news items that are focused on global issues, especially issues that pertain to how your country is affected by international politics, interactions of governments, and issues that affect not only your nation but the whole world. Global news items pretty much involve anything that happens OUTSIDE of your country but nevertheless affect your country's government, economy, and culture. As long as you think that a particular international news item will affect your home socially and the like, then you can post the news item here and run a commentary over it. Get everyone else (preferably from other involved countries) to run commentaries on them as well.

Run commentaries on how the particular international news items are being handled. Are they being handled at all, even? Were potentially important news items summarized in a sentence while other, less substantive news items were given focus? Or were particular international news items being given TOO MUCH focus? We encourage you to offer arguments over how the information could potentially affect everyone and why it is important to discuss it. We also encourage you to judge the performance of international news bodies based on how they picked and delivered their top stories.
